A new product (to me), “telemedicine”, was promoted by my medical clinic. A message suggested that for my upcoming annual wellness visit with my primary care physician, it would be ok to ask your doctor about telemedicine appointment options using a video consult.
It was described a substitute for an in-person visit and would be safe and secure. Reassurances stressed that should the video consult suggested need for in person follow-up, that could happen.
I had the video consult and found it absolutely satisfactory.
