Professional Certificate of Completion
Fast forward your career in Social Marketing by earning online a Social Marketing Professional Certificate of Completion for the International Social Marketing Association’s Developing a Strategic Social Marketing Plan Course.
This 12-week course provides an in-depth model and planning framework for developing a strategic social marketing plan to improve public health, prevent injuries, protect the environment, engage communities or enhance financial well-being.
Course Format: Each week, you will read 1-2 Chapters in the assigned text, review (on your time) a narrated PowerPoint that offers an in-depth discussion of the assigned chapters, and a detailed description of the assigned Step in the 10 Step Planning Model to be completed that week. Once drafted, you will send a word document to the instructor who will provide feedback on your draft step. Upon final approval of your social marketing plan, you will receive a Professional Certificate of Completion from iSMA.
The course will be limited to 20 students and the tuition is US$800. Applicants will be accepted from around the world, although this course will only be provided using English language.
Instructor: Nancy R. Lee, is a “pracademic” with more than 25 years of social marketing experience. She has coauthored 13 books on social marketing, 10 with Philip Kotler. She is an Affiliate Instructor at the University of Washington where she teaches Social Marketing.

Developing a Strategic Social Marketing Plan
Course Dates: October 2nd – December 18th 2023
Students will develop a social marketing plan using the 10-step process outlined in Ms. Lee’s Social Marketing book and will receive a Professional Certificate of Completion from iSMA when they complete the course.

Co-author of Social Marketing: Behavior Change for Social Good (6th Edition)
Nancy Lee has an MBA in Marketing and more than 25 years of Social Marketing experience. She is an Associate Professor at the University of Washington where she teaches social marketing in the MPA and Public Health programs. In addition, as President of Social Marketing Services, she conducts seminars and workshops on social marketing around the world in 16 countries, and has served as a strategic advisor in the development of more than 100 social marketing campaigns, primarily in Washington State, including ones with a focus on protecting the environment (litter prevention, natural gardening, wildlife habitat protection, recycling, trip reduction, water quality, and water and energy conservation); improving public health (teen pregnancy, sexual assault, physical activity, suicide prevention, COVID-19); and preventing injuries (seatbelts, not texting and driving, pedestrian safety). She has coauthored 13 books on Social Marketing, 10 with Philip Kotler.
