An article in a local community newspaper highlighted a safety concern experienced by three elementary school students walking home from school when a suspicious car pulled up near them.
The article shared the school District’s tips for parents to increase child safety including the following:
- “One of the mantras we teach students whether in school or the community is, ‘See something, say something.”
- Walk the route to and from school with your children, pointing out landmarks and safe places to go if they’re being followed or need help.”
