I am currently researching social marketing strategies related to reducing gun violence. At the Website Say Something, it was noted that in a comprehensive Department of Homeland Security study of school shootings, they found 93% of school shooters planned the attack in advance. The website goes on to highlight that:
“In four out of five school shootings, the attacker told people of their plans ahead of time.”
This insight inspired the development of the Say Something app.
