The Building Movement Project is conducting a national survey on Nonprofits, Leadership and Race.  Open to anyone working in the nonprofit sector, this confidential survey will ask you questions about your own experiences and your perspectives on diversity in the sector.   The survey should take about 20 minutes to fill out:  bit.ly/BMPRaceSurvey

The 2016 Nonprofits, Leadership and Race Survey will provide valuable information about the current components impacting leadership in the nonprofit sector. Specifically, this confidential survey will help the sector better understand the supports and barriers that nonprofit staff face as they increase their leadership. The survey includes a focus on how people’s identities (particularly race and ethnicity, but also gender, sexuality, etc.) impact their experiences and perspectives. All of this information will help BMP tell the important story of how various identities are shaping the experiences of aspiring and current leaders in the nonprofit sector.

This survey effort is being led by The Building Movement Project (BMP), in partnership with the Annie E. Casey Foundation and a range of partner organizations, including Alliance for Strong Families and Communities, Campaign for Black Male Achievement, Center for Social Inclusion, Funders’ Collaborative on Youth Organizing, Nonprofit Leadership Alliance, Rockwood Leadership, Young Nonprofit Professionals Network, and many more.

The Building Movement Project will analyze general trends from all survey responses and share key findings in a short report, which will be released in September of 2016. This is a confidential survey, and your name and email will not be identified in the report.

To thank you for your time, BMP will hold a raffle for survey participants to win a grand-prize $250 Amazon.com gift certificates for their organizations, or one of 5 $100 Amazon.com gift certificates for their organizations. The final page of the survey asks for your contact information (name and email) to be entered in the raffle. Only completed surveys will be entered for the raffle. BMP will randomly select the winners after the survey closes.

Add your voice to this critical survey gathering information on the impact of various identities on the experiences of professionals within the nonprofit sector. bit.ly/BMPRaceSurvey
