New iSMA and its affiliated associations free to access
Social Marketing Tools and Resource Hub (SMTRB)
Please Volunteer
We need volunteers to assist with the development and promotion of a new resource center for those studying and practicing social marketing. If you are interested, please contact:
M. Bilal Akbar, Course Leader – MSc Digital Marketing, and Senior Lecturer, Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University, UK.
What iSMA and its affiliated associations will deliver:
Around the world and especially in low-income countries students, practitioners and academics often struggle to access high quality social marketing learning, teaching and management resources. The SMTRB will address this issue by developing and promoting a new service that provides free access to such resources in order to promote and assist the application of social marketing globally
SMTRB will provide a free online one-stop resource for those seeking more information about social marketing, how to apply it, and how to teach it. The SMTRB will be free to access for students, practitioners and academics. The materials and links contained in the SMTRB will reflect contributions and learning from all regions of the world. Resources will be included in as many languages as possible. The service will be run and managed by an iSMA orbit working group made up of representatives from each of its affiliated associations. The SMTRB will be hosted on a special section of the iSMA website with links to and from all affiliated association websites. The SMTRB will be structured under three sections, each divided into foundational resources and advanced resources. Content will include:
- Free to access e-books
- Recommended academic articles that are available for free
- PDFs of key social marketing guides and tools
- Links to relevant organizations and networks
- Links to social media networks
- Links to online videos, blogs, etc.
- Links to online training
- Links to other tool boxes and key resources
Links will be also made with the iSMA Case study portal and iSMA position statements and other related repositories of relevant good practice. All materials contained in the SMTRB will be subject to a quality review prior to inclusion and be assessed on a regular basis to ensure they reflect up-to-date best practice in Social Marketing.
If you are interested in helping establish the SMRB please contact: M. Bilal Akbar, Course Leader – MSc Digital Marketing, and Senior Lecturer, Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University, UK.
