An article in the Mercer Island Reporter on January 22, 2025, commented on a recent racist vandalism case at the local middle school, where offenders trespassed on school grounds and defaced numerous windows and exterior walls with antisemitic and racist symbols and phrases.
The article focused on the local police department’s encouragement of community residents who encounter this type of vandalism or experience harassment, to please report it immediately calling 911.
