Social Issue: Overcrowded Animal Shelters
Social Marketing Strategy: All 4Ps
Where Sighted: Variety of Communication Channels, (AXIOS)
Behavior: Adopt a Pet Rescued from California Fires
Several communication channels this week featured messages, stories and motivating photos of animals in shelters waiting for adoption. I noticed all 4Ps being utilized:
- Product: Appealing dogs and cats, a wide variety of breeds
- Price: Adoption fees being waved
- Place: Seattle Humane and Other Shelters
- Promotion: Visuals focused on animals looking into the camera, with “sad” eyes.
“Seattle Humane has opened its doors to 39 dogs and 18 cats from overcrowded Los Angeles shelters, creating room for pets separated from their owners during the California wildfires.”
