Social Marketing Strategy: Newspaper Headline
Where Sighted: CoPilot
Social Issue: Voting

I know AI can be a controversial topic.

I actually really appreciate it and am amazed by information I get so quickly and easily.

And I am able to verify references 90% of the time.

For today’s BLOG I asked AI:

“Send me an example of a Social Marketing message on the front page of a newspaper today.”

I was delighted with what I received in 15 seconds.

“Your Vote Matters—Election Day Is Coming”

These messages are not selling anything—they’re encouraging a civic behavior for the public good, which makes them social marketing.

This type of message appears frequently on front pages during election periods because newspapers treat voter participation as a public‑interest issue.

Why this counts as social marketing

  • It promotes a behavior (voting).
  • It aims to benefit society, not a company.
  • It uses a public communication channel (front page of a newspaper).
